After receiving two reports of head entanglement, including the death of a 20-month-old child, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Regent Sports have announced a voluntary recall of both MacGregor and Mitre Folding Soccer Goals.
Though not likely purchased by a Region for games, it may be that some coaches and parents have purchased the goals for practice purposes, and our Regions should spread the word by posting links to Web sites or printing notices in Regional Newsletters. If one of your coaches or parents does have one of these goals, have them stop use immediately and return the net to Regent Sports for a free replacement.
